Established in 1997 to meet local need for an adult community orchestra, the Saskatoon Philharmonic Orchestra performs two concerts a year.  Traditionally performing in various high school theatres, the orchestra has also performed at Persephone Theatre in January 2009, and at the Third Avenue United Church.

The orchestra performs a variety of classical pieces, both by well-known composers and local talent.  Show tunes provide a light-hearted diversion from more serious fare.

The orchestra is composed of both amateur and professional muscians.
